1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Bhaasa, you confirm that you can form a binding contract, that you accept these Terms, and that you agree to comply with them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing on that organization's behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.
2. Description of the service
Bhaasa lets you upload video with spoken audio and generates captions using automatic speech recognition, which you can then edit, style, translate, and export or burn into your video. Features, supported languages, and plan limits may change as the Service evolves.
To generate and translate captions, we send your audio and caption text to third-party AI models who process it on our behalf, in addition to speech recognition we run ourselves. These providers only receive what's needed to perform that specific transcription or translation request.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You need an account to use Bhaasa, created either via Google sign-in or a work email one-time code. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and sign-in access secure, and for all activity that happens under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Bhaasa. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Important: Notify us immediately at hello@bhaasa.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Bhaasa to:
- Upload content you don't have the legal right to use or distribute.
- Generate captions for unlawful, defamatory, or harassing content.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Circumvent plan limits, quotas, or rate limits through automated or abusive means.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission.
5. Your content
You retain all ownership rights to the video, audio, and captions you upload or create using Bhaasa ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transform it solely to provide the Service to you — for example, running transcription, rendering exports, and displaying it back to you in the editor.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights needed to upload and caption it.
6. Plans and billing
Bhaasa offers a Free plan and paid plans (Creator, Studio, and Enterprise) described on our pricing page. Paid plans are purchased for a one-month period and processed through our third-party payment providers — we never store your card or wallet credentials ourselves.
Plan limits (AI minutes, translation minutes, storage, and video length) reset at the start of each billing period you've paid for and do not carry over. The Free plan burns a "Made with Bhaasa" watermark into exported video; paid plans remove it.
No auto-renewal:a paid plan does not automatically renew or charge you again — you purchase each billing period yourself, and access reverts to the Free plan once it lapses. Because there is no recurring subscription to cancel, we do not currently offer cancellations, refunds, or prorated credits for a period you've already paid for, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact hello@bhaasa.io.
Storage retention windows mentioned on the pricing page (for example, projects being kept for a limited time on the Free plan) describe our general policy, not a contractual guarantee — export or back up anything you want to keep.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe content processed through Bhaasa infringes your copyright, email hello@bhaasa.iowith a description of the work, the material you believe infringes it, and your contact information. We'll review the report and may remove or disable access to the content and/or the account responsible.
8. Intellectual property
The Service itself — including its software, design, branding, and underlying technology — is owned by Bhaasa and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets outside of your normal use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using Bhaasa and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting hello@bhaasa.io. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, with notice where practical.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Automatic transcription can make mistakes — you're responsible for reviewing captions before publishing or relying on them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bhaasa is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by the law of your country of residence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
