1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use similar technologies like local storage, which Bhaasa relies on to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference between visits.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies to keep your session signed in, remember preferences like light/dark theme, and understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We do not use cookies to sell your data or serve third-party advertising.

3. Types of cookies we use

  • Essential —required for sign-in and core functionality, such as your authentication session. The Service won't work properly without these.
  • Functional — remember settings like your preferred theme (light or dark) and dashboard layout.
  • Analytics — help us understand aggregate usage patterns so we can prioritize improvements. These never identify you individually.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by services we rely on to operate Bhaasa — our authentication provider (Supabase), and our payment providers (eSewa and Stripe) during checkout. These providers set their own cookies subject to their own privacy and cookie policies.

Important: We do not control third-party cookies directly — disabling them may affect sign-in or checkout.

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Since essential cookies keep you signed in, blocking them will sign you out and may prevent the Service from working correctly. You can also clear your browser's local storage to reset saved preferences like theme.
